Why Do We Add Oil to Our Capsules?
The oil is added to the hop extract, which is like a thick wax. It allows the extract to disperse in the gut and make contact with the gut surface, which is how it stimulates the release of your body's own satiety hormones (GLP-1, CCK, and PYY).
Without the oil, the hop extract would pass through your gut without interacting with its surface, and those hormones wouldn't be released.
Why Do We Use Canola Oil?
Canola oil is a very stable oil, which means it doesn't break down quickly over time. That's because it's high in monounsaturated fats and naturally high in vitamin E.
It's also very consistent, so it doesn't vary much from batch to batch. When an oil is used as a carrier in a product, that consistency means you can be confident it won't change and won't affect how the product works.
Why Don't We Use Olive Oil?
When an oil is used as a carrier, you want it to be very consistent every time. Extra virgin olive oil contains a lot of extra plant compounds, and those can interfere with how the hop extract works and potentially make it less effective. That's something we don't want.
How Much Canola Oil Is in Calocurb?
Only a tiny amount: around 0.1 of a gram. It may sound like nothing, but it makes a huge difference to the product, because without the canola oil the hop extract wouldn't be effective.
Is the Canola Oil Safe?
Yes. The canola oil used in Calocurb is certified Glyphosate Residue Free by The Detox Project, meaning it contains no detectable glyphosate or AMPA residues, verified through rigorous LC-MS/MS testing. This certification is stricter than USDA Organic standards and helps reassure health-conscious consumers.
